1. Site Preparation & Framing
   • The process commenced with a thorough excavation to remove the old, failing surface. To establish a clean and durable framework, we installed substantial timber sleepers as retaining edges along the full perimeter. For added visual flair near the house, we integrated a smart border of classic block paving setts, ensuring a graceful transition to the main property.
2. Advanced Gravel Stabilisation
   • At the heart of this installation is the game-changing honeycomb grid technology. This is a world away from traditional gravel surfaces. By laying a foundation of interlocking cellular trays, we created a solid base that locks the gravel securely in place. This sought-after new system is revolutionary because it stops the gravel from moving, rutting, or developing bare patches, even with constant vehicle use. The result is a gravel driveway that feels as solid and stable as a paved surface underfoot, delivering the best of both worlds, the beauty of gravel with none of the usual drawbacks.
3. The Perfect Finish
   • Following the grid installation, a durable weed-suppressant membrane was laid down. The entire 300+ square metre area was then surfaced with a premium 20mm limestone chipping. The bright angular stones were carefully spread to fill the honeycomb cells, creating a crisp, uniform, and hard-wearing finish that beautifully complements the home’s stone exterior.
