For this next project, Meadow Drives & Patios were asked to install a new patio area using marble tiles. These tiles were to be laid on to the three steps that led up to the enterance of our clients garage to.

Before any work could take place, we needed to ask our clients in Manchester what they wanted from this project. We listened to their ideas and also recommended some great options that would work well with the space they had.

On day one, we started by measuring out the area that was to be paved. Using mini diggers and shovels, we dug up the turf. The area was then split into 5 sections. Each of the sections was filled with hardcore and then levelled out so it was completely flat.

A layer of sand was laid on top of this and again levelled out leaving a flat surface. We then mixed up cement that was then applied to the whole area. This was used to make the base for the marble tiles to sit on.

We needed to apply concrete to the top of the steps and also to the path leading into the garage. This was so we could lay the marble tiles on top of these areas to.

Once all the concrete was all dry, we could then lay all the marbel tiles on to the base, going across the garden. The tiles were laid on to the three steps and then leading up to the path by the garage.

We used charcoal coloued blocks that were laid around the marble tiles. This created a lovely border that made the patio area stand out. To the end of the patio, we did the same and then in the middle of this, we laid grey coloured stone chips.

Our clients from Manchester were very impressed with how this marble patio turned out. They wanted a complete transformation and that is what they got. They couldnt wait to have their first BBQ and show off their new patio.
