Tarmac Drive with Soakaway Drainage
A customer owning a substantial semi-detached house in Burnley, Lancashire recently contacted the team here at Meadow Drives & Patios. They had expressed the desire in replacing their existing driveway area which consisted of old concrete and grassy areas, with a brand new tarmac driveway, complete with soakaway drainage.
Working on a huge range of domestic properties in the local Burnley region, the team were more than happy to help transform the customer’s outside space into an attractive yet functional area.
After using a digger to dig up the area and clearing away all waste and rubble, the team could get straight to work. Drainage solutions using a soakaway drain were added to help keep water from gathering, and reduce the risk of any flooding. After using equipment to level the ground, a high-quality membrane was laid to prevent weed growth.
Next, we laid edging on a sand and cement base before adding the sub-base. Finally, the ground was compacted to ensure an even surface before the tarmac was added on top. The end result was positive all around; the customer was delighted with their new large tarmac drive with soakaway drainage.
