We were recently asked to renovate a garden in Burnley after a thorough on-site consultation. Needless to say, the results were truly beautiful to behold. Let’s quickly examine what was accomplished and the steps that were required to provide a stunning solution.
The Initial Assessment and Preparation
After an examination of the garden, it was determined that the existing elements had degraded to the point where a much-needed facelift was the most appropriate solution. An existing gravel bed as well as a raised wooden patio would be removed and replaced with more modern, stylish and durable materials. Similar to the other projects tackled by Meadow Drives and Patios, we decided to install a series of natural stone paving slabs.
As always, a significant amount of time was devoted to the preparation process. We removed the existing materials and ensured that the surface was level in order to promote adequate drainage. Once this labour was completed, the real work could begin.
Out With the Old and in With the New
One of the goals which our team consistently strives for involves achieving a sense of visual uniformity. This is important in terms of aesthetic balance and sheer beauty. However, functionality is just as important. The use of stone paving slabs helped to ensure years of durability and they served as an appealing peripheral border around the outside of the property. These very same materials were employed during the renovation of a side walkway that skirted the outside of the home. The use of slightly different tones, textures and sizes likewise served to offer a sense of depth and an entirely unique appearance.
Stone-Cold Beauty
There were several reasons why the team at Meadow Drives and Patios opted for stone paving slabs. Not only do these represent some of the most stunning natural materials, but they are highly resistant to the elements. Furthermore, paving slabs are unlikely to crack due to temperature changes and they offer excellent drainage qualities.
Let’s also mention that these paving slabs complimented the exterior of the home and bordering fence; providing yet another level of aesthetic balance. After all, one of the reasons why we are called when nothing but the best will suffice involves our desire to provide any property with kerb appeal.
Cleanliness is Next to Godliness
As this was a relatively small garden when compared to some of our previous projects, we focused our efforts around providing an “open-air” feel through the use of paving slabs. This approach offers the illusion of space and as a result, the garden will remain appealing throughout the year. We were extremely happy with the outcome of this task and once again, yet another customer was fully satisfied.
