We recently completed this stunning patio transformation in Nelson, replacing an old and tired paving area with a brand-new Kandla Grey Indian Sandstone patio. The finished result has completely modernised the outdoor space, creating a clean, stylish and much more practical garden area for the customer to enjoy all year round.

The original patio area had become dated and worn over time, with old paving slabs that lacked character and reduced the overall appearance of the garden. The existing steps and patio layout looked tired, while the lighter paving had weathered considerably and no longer complemented the property. The outdoor space felt less modern and wasn’t making the most of the elevated garden setting and surrounding views.

The garden has been completely transformed with the installation of a stunning Kandla Grey Indian Sandstone patio, giving the entire area a fresh, contemporary appearance. The rich grey tones and natural stone finish instantly modernise the property while creating a much cleaner and more premium outdoor space. The rebuilt steps now provide a more seamless transition between levels, and the new patio layout offers a far more practical and visually appealing area for relaxing and entertaining. The finished result has completely revitalised the garden and created a durable, low-maintenance outdoor space the customer can enjoy for years to come.
The Meadow Drives Method
The original patio had become worn and dated, with uneven paving slabs and weathered steps taking away from the appearance of the garden. Our team removed the existing patio and carefully prepared the area ready for the new installation. Proper groundwork and foundations are essential for a long-lasting patio, so we ensured the base was fully reinforced and levelled before laying the new stone.
For this project, the customer chose beautiful Kandla Grey Indian Sandstone, a popular option known for its contemporary appearance, natural tones and durable finish. The mix of grey shades and natural stone texture works perfectly alongside the brickwork of the property while helping to brighten and modernise the entire garden.
As part of the installation, we also rebuilt and improved the patio steps, creating a much cleaner transition between the upper and lower seating areas. The new layout provides a more open and usable space while maintaining the character of the garden.
